The MG42 is a member of the family of machine guns known as Light Machine Guns, commonly abbreviated as LMG. In this article, you will find all the statistics and tips to master this weapon in the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: WWII.

The MG42 becomes unlocked after reaching the first prestige in the Armored Division. It can be equipped in your loadouts, but it’s also available directly on the battlefield in maps like Pointe du Hoc and Gibraltar. Known for its highest rate of fire in its class, this weapon packs a punch.

Attachments and Division

Armored Division

Besides the bipod, the Armored Division doesn’t add much to your LMG class. It is more situational, offering excellent protection against lethal and tactical equipment. For better mobility, especially with a weapon that requires it, consider using the Infantry Division to gain the option of a third attachment.
