WW2: The BAR Weapon

WWII: The BAR Weapon

The Browning Automatic Rifle, commonly referred to as the BAR, is a renowned weapon that falls within the category of assault rifles. This article provides all the essential statistics and tips for mastering this firearm in the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: WWII.

With solid precision and a high rate of fire, the BAR is a versatile weapon that offers the perfect compromise for players torn between assault rifles and submachine guns. It can eliminate enemies in three shots within a distance of 19 meters, transitioning to four shots beyond that range. However, it may not be the ideal choice for long distances. This rifle is particularly suited for players who take on flexible roles, able to assist in objectives while managing spawns. Its primary weakness lies in its magazine size—20 bullets can deplete quickly given its rapid fire rate.

Statistics

  • Damage: 40-29 depending on range
  • Range: lethal shot in 3 rounds up to 19 meters (25 meters with advanced rifling)
  • Accuracy: 5/10
  • Rate of Fire: 570 RPM
  • Magazine Size: 20 (30 with extended magazine)
  • Reload Time: 1.35 seconds

Attachments and Division

Infantry

The mobility provided by the buttstock and the ability to equip three attachments through the Infantry Division are nearly vital for this weapon.

Reflex Sight

A standard and clear reflex sight. Equip this if the iron sights do not provide adequate visibility and accuracy.

Grip

This reduces weapon recoil when aiming down sights.

Ergonomic Grip

Allows for faster aiming.

Note: You may replace the ergonomic grip with advanced rifling if you plan to cover longer distances, or opt for a high-capacity magazine should you find the normal magazine insufficient given the fire rate.

Patch History

Here are the main changes made over the year during the various updates.

  • November 10, 2017: Reduced fire rate and widened hip fire spread.
  • November 29, 2017: Increased recoil.
