In your frantic pursuit of legendary loot in Borderlands 4, it’s a good idea to take a look at the side quests available in the game. Some of these offer unique rewards, such as the one we’ll cover in this guide.
The side quests in Borderlands 4 can sometimes feel overly long, with repetitious objectives and dialogue that doesn’t always hold significance. However, some do offer unique rewards that make the journey worthwhile. This is especially true for our stealthy guide on the Ultimate Vendor and its legendary items for just $1.
How to Complete the Ultimate Vendor Quest?
You will find this quest at the Command Base in the Carcadia Burning region: Zane will ask you to examine machines scattered across the area, in a quest for the ultimate vendor. As you’ll quickly realize, you’ll need to sell your own weapons to complete the codes required to reach the final objective of this mission. Below are all the codes you need and how to enter them to progress:
- Vendor Code 1: Sell 1 green, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 blue to the vendor
- Vendor Code 2: First, sell 1 green, 1 purple, 1 blue, 1 green, then exit the vendor. Return and purchase your gear in the same order
- Vendor Code 3: Follow the arrows on the back of the vendor; this should lead you to the roof of the building it’s located in. The code will be validated automatically after the dialogue
- Vendor Code 4: Sell 1 green, 1 purple, 1 blue, 1 purple to the vendor
- Vendor Code 5: Sell 1 green, 1 blue, 1 purple, 1 orange to the vendor
Once you have all the codes, you’ll finally gain access to the arena of the Ultimate Vendor. This boss can be relatively straightforward to defeat; just remain cautious of its leg-mounted mines that will try to leap at you.
Reward for the Ultimate Vendor Quest
The reward for this quest is rather unique, as it allows you to select an item from an inventory of legendary gear, similar to Maurice’s Black Market. The additional perk is that all the weapons will be priced at just $1. This mission can be quite tedious to complete, so it’s not as if you don’t deserve this little treat; however, we recommend waiting until you reach the maximum level before you venture into this quest, as it will require you to part with several important loot items.
