As the time for Halloween draws near, excitement builds around the upcoming seasonal celebration in Fortnite, known as Fortnitemares. This year, the event will kick off on Thursday, October 9.
Returning Characters and New Additions
A new trailer has dropped, showcasing both licensed and original character skins that will soon be available in the game. Among the characters teased are:
- Scooby-Doo alongside Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred (availability of all five remains uncertain)
- Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th
- Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime
- Ghostface from Scream
- Doja Cat
Availability and Previous Events
Details regarding how these new characters will be accessed—whether through Battle Passes or the in-game shop—are still unknown. It’s worth noting that past Fortnitemares events have introduced a plethora of iconic characters, including Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead, and Ash from The Evil Dead, among others.
What Else is Happening in Fortnite
In addition to the spooky excitement of Fortnitemares, a KPop Demon Hunters event recently commenced, featuring skins for band members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, as well as a revamped Horde Rush mode populated with demon-themed adversaries.
Simultaneously, the ongoing Fortnite season continues, allowing players to unlock characters from the Power Rangers franchise as part of the Battle Pass experience.
