From constructing the Beamsmasher DRI-11 weapon, battling priority targets, to solving math puzzles, we’ll guide you through completing the grand secret of Terminus, one of the zombie mode maps in Black Ops 6.
Available from Friday, October 25, 2024, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features multiplayer modes, a campaign, and especially the highly anticipated zombie mode. Many players have already explored the available maps and uncovered secrets hidden within. Here’s how to solve the grand secret of Terminus.
First, Activate the Power at Terminus
You cannot accomplish anything until you first activate the electricity at the Terminus map. This is not difficult; simply collect Essence by eliminating the first zombies you encounter. With this Essence, you can activate the CME generators and the doors leading to the biological laboratory. This is where you’ll find the famous Pack-a-Punch and begin the Terminus secret.
Construct the Miracle Weapon Beamsmasher DRI-11
You may get lucky and find this miracle weapon in the mystery boxes, or you will need to build it by gathering all the required parts.
- Important: Add the “HS Cable” mod to your primary weapon
Activate the Electric Panels
The first step is to head to the lab and power up the electric panels in the area. This is why you need the “HS Cable” mod on your weapon. With it, you can shoot the panels to power them up and open the research office door (in the playground area).
- Biological Lab: 3 panels are visible from the elevator
- Quarters: 1 panel near the CME generator
- Playground: 1 panel on the front of the quarters building
Find the Laptop Computers
The second step is to locate 3 laptops on the map Terminus.
- First laptop: in the “Communication” area, at the top of the stairs to the right of the Pack-A-Punch elevator
- Second laptop: in the “storage area,” at the top of the stairs to the left of the Pack-A-Punch elevator
- Third laptop: in the “Docks” area, before the Sea Tower.
On these laptops, you will see symbols that you need to memorize.
Retrieve the Multiphase Resonator
Now, you’ll need to unlock the case found at the Sea Tower. It’s easily spotted since a hand is always hanging onto it near the Soda dispenser. The problem is, you need a key: this key is obtained by shooting the scientist’s skull on the floor of the research office.
Find the Research Office Code
Unfortunately, the puzzle you will face changes each time, and thus we cannot provide an exact solution but simply a method for solving it. If you’re feeling lazy, you can always pay 5000 Essence to Peck (at the beginning of the map) to get the code. Otherwise, here’s how to proceed:
- The puzzle involves finding the values of X, Y, and Z,
- Refer to the post-it notes after activating the computer: they will tell you which symbols correspond to X, Y, and Z, and you only need to refer to the left table to determine which number corresponds to which symbol
- Now, solve the equation on the right table by replacing X, Y, Z with the numerical values obtained.
Once you enter the code on the computer, you will see a map of the area and points flashing around the nearby islands.
Charge the Multiphase Resonator
Head to the various points on the map. Look for blue, green, or purple orbs and interact with them: zombies will spawn before you can collect them. Once the resonator is fully charged, it will drop to the ground, and you’ll need to pick it up each time. This will give you the last building piece of the Beamsmasher that you can construct at the research office.
Retrieve the Hard Drive
With the miracle weapon in hand, your next step is to find a hard drive that is randomly located on one of the tentacle traps on the map:
- There’s a tentacle trap in the Biological Laboratory,
- Another in the Quarters,
- One more next to Peck, at the start of the map
The trap with a red card on the ground is the right one to activate by shooting one of the monster’s heads to release the hard drive.
Release Nathan and Fight Him
Head to the biological laboratory and interact with the large central tank to release Nathan. You need a 3-digit code found:
- In the interrogation room: the number is indicated by the small needle of the clock,
- In the MESS cafeteria: the number is indicated by the map attached to the board,
- In the engineering workshop: the number is indicated on the poster indicating the number of days without an incident
Return to the tank, enter the code, and interact with one of the valves. Note that in grouped multiplayer, each player must interact with the tank simultaneously for it to work.
Of course, Nathan is not happy and you will need to confront him. As a “priority target,” he is very strong, so upgrading your weapon rarity is paramount. Note that the monster is vulnerable to electricity, so don’t forget the “HS Cable” mod.
Once Nathan is defeated, dive into the water to retrieve the magnetic card and use it to activate the computer in the “communications” area.
Find the Node Connectors at the Wreckage
Once the connection is restored, go to the wreckage by passing through the broken hull. You can find 2 node connectors during your battles against zombies (you have to do it twice).
Now, head to the three possible locations to repair the incomplete cables:
- Crab Island, next to the workbench
- Under the Sea Tower,
- In the tunnel facing the marine caves
Hack the Satellites
Courage, we are almost at the end of the secret. Join Peck at the start of the Terminus map so he can give you the Hacking Device. You now need to hack 3 marine antennas at sea:
Return to the biological laboratory to disarm the three bombs: one at the bottom of the workbench, one under the mystery box, and the last next to the munitions.
Defeat the Final Boss of Terminus: Patient 13
The boss arena is located behind the door just next to the tough melee dispenser. Prepare well for this ultimate fight with the “HS Cable” mod, rare weapon upgrades, self-reanimation, miracle weapon, etc.
Once the boss is defeated, you can stop there, or continue on and receive even more rewards.
