Skate is Not Just a Game; It’s an Adventure in Patience!
Ah, the thrill of launching a game—it’s like jumping off a skateboard with no idea what’s on the other side. Full Circle, the geniuses behind the latest skateboarding escapade, has bravely faced the music and acknowledged that this grand launch was a little bumpier than a half-pipe on a rainy day.
In a charming little developer update that reads like a love letter to a community filled with both ecstatic skaters and disgruntled glitch-hunters, the Full Circle squad expressed gratitude to the “tens of millions” of players who decided to embrace the chaos since the glorious Early Access rollout on September 16. But let’s not overlook the elephant in the skate park: “We’re also here for the tough love,” they quipped.
More Players, More Problems!
As any seasoned skateboarder knows, nothing goes as planned—especially when a few million friends decide to crash the party at the same time. “Things have not gone as smoothly for some of you as we would have liked,” the studio humbly admitted. Apparently, the unexpected influx of players turned their launch into a carnival of bugs, glitches, and the occasional performance hiccup. Who knew so many skaters were waiting for a chance to cruise the virtual streets?
To clear the air, Full Circle diligently explained: “Making Skate is a balancing act between delivering the fresh content from our roadmap, improving the overall player experience, and addressing your live feedback.” Kind of sounds like a skateboarder trying to balance on a tightrope while juggling tacos—difficult but not impossible!
A Game of Fixes
In the spirit of transparency, it was revealed that several players have encountered softlocks and progression issues—basically, everyone’s favorite game-stopping shenanigans! The studio assures everyone these “unique” problems are high on their to-do list. A multi-layered fix puzzle might not be as easy as pulling off a 720, but the team is dedicated to making it happen.
“You should see fewer errors now,” they promised, “but there still may be a few slip-ups.” Apparently, the Trick of the Day task was once doing the “Spread Eagle”—but not in the way players would hope. Thankfully, with the community’s alertness, that blunder was corrected faster than a skateboarder trying to avoid a pothole. Although, full honesty? Not every issue will be mended at lightning speed.
Free Stuff Alert!
To quell the anger of players, Full Circle decided to show a little love. Drumroll, please… All players will be rewarded with 2000 Tix and 500 SVBs! Just log in before Season 2 hurtles toward its launch on December 2. There’s also some fine print: Tix must be spent in the Skate Pass before the end of Season 1. So, skate or miss out!
“We’re truly grateful for your patience as we improve, grow, and evolve Skate during Early Access,” the update sagely concluded. “We wouldn’t be here without you, the incredible Skate community, so keep sharing your feedback, your bugs, and issues. We’re on the case and we’ll only get better from here.” With a little hope and a whole lot of patchwork, this rollercoaster of a launch might just end with a sweet victory lap! At least until the next round of surprises rolls in!
