To reach certain bosses in Borderlands 4, you need to navigate through lengthy side quest chains. This is certainly the case for reaching Leader Willem, a guardian capable of dropping one of the most coveted legendary weapons in this installment. In this guide, we’ll detail the quests you need to complete to access his fight.
Where to Find Boss Leader Willem?
This boss is located in the Exocreuset area, to the east of the Carcadia Burn, but you won’t be able to access it right away. To reach his arena, you must first complete all the faction quests tied to the Electi. This includes a series of five major objectives for Levaine. Below is the list of side quests you need to finish before you can challenge the boss:
- Electi Part 1
- Electi Part 2
- Divided Council
- Intimate Betrayal
- Attack of the Mole
Once you’ve completed the final quest, you will need to place an IEM in the Exocreuset area, which will finally unlock the door separating you from the boss. Make sure to stock up on ammunition before you engage, as you’ll have to clear a small wave of enemies before taking on the boss.
Why Farm This Boss?
It may take some effort to reach this boss, but once you unlock his machine at the entrance of the arena, you can start farming the Rainbow Vomit, one of the best legendary weapons in the entire game. The great thing is that Willem is quite weak as a boss, and even with a mediocre build, you should be able to deplete his health bar in under a minute.
