Flintslate Hollow Knight Silksong: Where to Find and How to Snag that Silexium
Attention, brave souls! In the marvelous world of Hollow Knight: Silksong, there’s a shiny weapon called Flintslate—or as it’s fancy-named in some circles, Silexium. This little gem is not just a pretty face; it helps the lovely Hornet set her foes ablaze with every stab. Sounds thrilling, doesn’t it? But hold on, acquiring it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows—it requires some serious legwork and a sprinkle of luck!
Where on Earth is This Flintslate Hiding?
Now, the elusive Flintslate is not lurking just anywhere; it’s huddled behind a locked door in the rather eerie Deep Docks. Unlike the many places that require clever gadgets or trickery to access, this one merely demands a simple key. Feel free to roll your eyes at the simplicity, but trust that the adventure is anything but boring!
- Get the Key! There are only two of these oh-so-basic keys floating around in Act 1. The first can be purchased from Pebb, your friendly neighborhood merchant at the Ghastly Chasm, for a reasonable sum of 500 shiny gems. Yes, it costs more than a coffee in a trendy café, but sacrifices must be made! The second key? It’s floating around somewhere in the dreamier heights of the nightmarish Sinner’s Road (also humorously known as Fisherman’s Path).
- Using the Clue that Looks Like a Key: With the key in hand, it’s off to the Deep Docks! Check the map and locate a massive cave entrance at the bottom right corner, conveniently snuggled beneath the Forge Maiden. Don’t forget: behind that locked door awaits a delightful array of enemies itching to give Hornet a warm welcome!
Brave the Trials and Claim Your Weapon
Beyond the doorway, a test of endurance awaits! Prepare to face a series of rooms teeming with fuzzy little adversaries. You’ll encounter two long chambers filled with ground enemies—who can be easily sidestepped by that glorious running forward maneuver—and two platforming sections sprinkled with airborne foes intent on making life more complicated.
Once at the tippy top of the second platform-packed room, veer left down a hallway leading to a cozy little alcove. And there it is, proudly displayed on a table—the Flintslate awaits! To equip this flaming wonder, simply plop down on a nearby bench. Oh, and it comes with three fantastic charges to set Hornet’s attacks ablaze temporarily. Sizzlin’!
Using the Silexium for Maximum Chaos
The Flintslate isn’t merely a decorative piece that adds flair to Hornet’s ensemble; when activated, it triggers a dazzling animation followed by an instant effect of fire on her attacks. Each needle-based stab now deals some sweet cumulative burn damage, especially against those beefy enemies or bosses boasting a ridiculously high health bar.
But alas! The fiery effects don’t last forever. Timing is key! Save those charges for moments when foes are too distracted, too smug, or simply dazed. When executed flawlessly, the Silexium has the potential to flip the scales of battle in favor of Hornet. However, let it be noted that combining the Silexium with a Pollip Pouch might not win any awards for effectiveness. It seems the Silexium on its lonesome tends to dish out more damage, while the polluted version causes a tad less but lingers longer. So, choose wisely!
So there it is! Those yearning to embrace their inner pyromaniac will find the hunt for Flintslate both amusing and rewarding. With Hornet at the helm, unleashing fiery mayhem has never been so delightful. Now, bravely venture forth and make those adversaries feel the burn!
