During our initial playthrough of Borderlands 3, we stumbled upon numerous legendary weapons, including the Stark Tsunami. This formidable piece can be acquired after progressing a certain distance into the game’s storyline. Here’s how you can get your hands on it.
How to Obtain the Stark Tsunami?
Getting the Stark Tsunami is relatively straightforward. You will need to progress to the main quest “Space Lasertag” on Skywell-27, where you will encounter a boss named “Katagawa Ball”. You can’t miss this encounter, as defeating him is essential to move the main story forward. Upon his defeat, the boss has a chance to drop the unique legendary weapon Stark Tsunami. If luck isn’t on your side initially, don’t worry; once you complete your quest, you can return to the area and try your luck again—the boss will respawn each time you exit the zone.
The Boss Fight
- The boss is not particularly tough; he will be level 22 when you face him.
- Bring a corrosive weapon as well as an electric one. The boss has an armor bar followed by two shield bars, meaning he doesn’t have traditional health points. He is a flying robot and quite resilient.
- To defeat him easily, take cover and utilize the right weapons, aiming for his eye (his weak point) whenever possible.
The Stark Tsunami
This compact SMG crafted by Maliwan will serve you well, especially if you relish dealing elemental damage. If you’re playing as Amara, this weapon is a must-have. Its special perk is straightforward yet chaotic: it charges up and fires bullets of all different elements seemingly at random. Each shot can be either “normal” or consist of a burst of 5 projectiles of one random element, including corrosive, incendiary, and radiation. This variability adds a fun element of chance while dealing substantial damage to your enemies!
