In our journey through Borderlands 3, we’ve gathered some of the finest legendary weapons. Today, we present to you the “Gatlin’ Lead Sprinkler,” an absolutely badass assault rifle.
In Borderlands 3, there are weapons that not only look stylish but are incredibly effective. The Gatlin’ Lead Sprinkler falls into this category as a unique legendary weapon. It can melt the hearts of anyone who uses it, so we’ve prepared a guide to help you acquire it.
How to Obtain It
You can acquire this weapon by defeating a boss. While on Eden-6, in the Jakobs Estate during the main quest “The Haunting of the Harpy”, you will encounter a boss named “Billy the Anointed”. Don’t worry if you are following the story; you won’t miss this boss. Once you dispatch this pawn sent by the Calypsos to slow you down, check the loot he drops. There’s a chance he will leave behind a Gatlin’ Lead Sprinkler. For those of you who feel a bit unlucky, simply leave the area after finishing the quest and return for the boss to respawn. You can farm him if you wish.
The Boss Fight
- Contrary to some, the boss is not overly difficult; he will be level 28 when you meet him.
- This boss resembles an enraged goliath but teleports around, so be cautious of his melee attacks.
- Make sure to equip a fire and an electric weapon. The boss first has a shield bar before moving to a standard health bar. He’s not too resilient, although he can become invulnerable temporarily (when his health drops too quickly), but this phase doesn’t last long.
- To defeat him easily, hit him hard and fast while remaining mobile to burst his health quickly.
Note:
Try to keep the boss contained in the theater room. Since he teleports around and tends to behave erratically, he can sometimes get stuck in the scenery. If this happens, your only solution is to leave the session and restart!
Gatlin’ Lead Sprinkler
This assault rifle, crafted by Jakobs, is a real game-changer. Who wouldn’t want to fight with a weapon whose unique red line is “Splish splash,” right? More seriously, the effect of this weapon is extraordinary, especially on builds that amplify area effects. The effect in question is this: when you shoot enemies with this weapon, it creates explosive projectiles that deal area damage, in addition to the direct damage from the weapon itself. It’s almost like having little grenades that accompany your shots. Isn’t that neat? I can see all the Moze players nodding in agreement; it’s no surprise.
We obtained the weapon at level 26, and it is genuinely powerful. Take a look at the stats from the image captured right below:
