Call of Duty Ops: Headhunter Hijinks—A Comedic Guide to the Mission
Welcome to the wonderful world of Headhunter, the first mission of the Spec Ops mode in that popular war game where players pretend to be elite soldiers while hardly understanding how to reload. This delightful mission involves infiltrating, exposing, and eliminating the oh-so-dreaded terrorist network led by a guy whose title might as well be “Chief of Bad Decisions.”

The Mission Objectives: Like A Shopping List For Chaos
The Headhunter mission has a to-do list that rivals a shopping list for someone preparing for a barbecue:
- Capture 6 lieutenants (because apparently, they’re too important to leave behind)
- Hack and deactivate 5 scramblers (apparently they’re not just for scrambling eggs)
- Shoot down an enemy helicopter, because why not?
- Escape safely (as if that’s a normal Tuesday in this game)
Pre-Mission: Getting Ready to Lose Your Mind
The map is as spacious as a family reunion where no one actually wants to talk, and players will need to eliminate a good number of enemies. Grab an assault rifle or a submachine gun to be the most efficient killing machine possible. Consider packing a JKR as a secondary weapon because it’s the best friend for taking down that pesky helicopter later on. And let’s not forget the “Serial Killer” perk—because every good plan needs a little chaos.
Respawn System: Because Dying Is Just the Beginning
Before diving face-first into chaos, appoint someone to play the role of “Sacrificial Lamb” (or ‘team member who will be hanging back’). If the entire squad bites the dust but one person is still alive, voila! Respawn magic! Communication is key; after all, slaying enemies is much easier when everyone is on the same page instead of playing a game of charades.
Getting Those Lieutenants: A Fun Little Hunt
Time to kick this party off by eliminating any threats near the lieutenants—because party crashers are never welcome. Once those enemies are dealt with, it’s time to show the lieutenants who’s boss and snag that flash drive from their lifeless bodies. Every acquired flash drive signals progress, much like scoring a half-eaten slice of pizza at a party.
But a word of warning: Don’t waste those killstreaks on minor enemies, even if it feels like a strong urge to clear out the area. Save those for the Big Bad, affectionately known as the Mastodon. It’s like a tank—only uglier and much more dangerous.
Hack and Disable the Scramblers: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Here comes the real fun—the hacking! Expect chaos as it’s crucial to team up in protecting those scramblers at all costs. Being near each other is essential; wander off and watch the progress trickle to a halt. If someone can perch atop a roof and lend a hand during the hacking, they deserve a medal—or at least a donut.
For that second scrambler, guess what? Yep, another Mastodon awaits. Time to unleash those killstreaks and make it disappear like homework on a Friday. And don’t forget to play hide-and-seek while covering the scramblers because the number of enemies will surge faster than a bunch of kids during a school fire drill.
When it’s all over, congratulations! You’re halfway through boot camp, but don’t relax yet; there’s a new Mastodon, and it’s time to uncork that Cruise Missile to blow it away faster than hopes of finishing a gym workout.
The fourth scrambler offers some respite. Use those cars and garage ramps as cover—this feels a bit like playing a game of hide and seek with much higher stakes. Get everyone together and speed through, because who wouldn’t want to finish early?
Upon reaching the final scrambler, extreme caution is your best buddy. It’ll be exposed most of the time, so having an ally on the roof would be ideal for raining down some cruise missiles to clear the battlefield. “Tactical genius” level: achieved.
Time to Bring Down That Pesky Helicopter
Finally, the moment of glory has arrived! This next task is as straightforward as assembling IKEA furniture—grab your LMGs or JKR and bring that enemy helicopter down. If there are killstreaks lying around, now is the time to use them! Once the helicopter becomes part of history, it’s extraction time! Bravo, the first mission is a resounding success!
