As seen in previous titles of the series, Borderlands 3 invites players to engage with Moxxi, the charismatic bar owner, who provides various services and mysterious rewards. Players will find unique weapons among other treasures.
One of the most memorable characters in Borderlands 3 is Moxxi, easily found aboard Sanctuary 3 after adequate progress on the second planet. She runs a bar, casino, and house of entertainment within one of the ship’s wings. Additionally, she can be encountered at her bar in Lectra City on Promethea. Moxxi offers players one or two side quests, and her bar includes services that could lead to interesting rewards.
Borderlands 3: Tipping
At Moxxi’s bar, you’ll find a jar where you can make tips of either 100 or 1,000 dollars. By contributing tips, you may occasionally receive random weapons, but here’s an enticing detail: a unique weapon awaits if you show enough generosity. To snag this special item, you’ll need to tip a total of around 30,000 to 70,000 dollars, exclusively in increments of 1,000 dollars (the 100 dollar tips do not count). Eventually, your efforts will reward you with a flashy weapon adorned with the inscription “Moxxi.” The total amount required may vary based on your character’s level, so stop tipping once you receive a message from Moxxi herself.
Borderlands 3: Slot Machines & Casino
Another returning feature allows you to spend your dollars, and even excess eridium, in exchange for random rewards at slot machines. However, it’s advisable to limit their use to specific scripted quests, especially after acquiring related trophies. It would be wiser to buy inventory upgrades from Marcus early on. That being said, at the maximum level, this feature provides opportunities to acquire some interesting items, including legendary weapons, but it requires a significant amount of dollars to gamble. Be prepared for surprises; for instance, you might receive a tossed grenade, which can be a bit of a letdown.
