<p class="article__paragraph">You're likely familiar with the Shift code system that has been a staple in the Borderlands series, allowing players to redeem codes for rewards. Gearbox Software, alongside various partners, has consistently provided shift codes for their games. In doing so, players are able to unlock skins or secure Golden Keys (which open chests containing rare loot). With the release of Borderlands 3 around the corner on September 13, the publisher has taken it a step further by introducing a VIP rewards system, complete with points.</p>
<h2 class="article__subtitle">The "Vault Hunter Initiate" Program</h2>
<p class="article__paragraph">This program is designed to thank the community by offering exclusive content across the Borderlands games. The setup is straightforward. Log in using your Shift account (or via Steam if they’ve been connected for some time). If you don’t already have an account, you’ll need to create one. Next, link your Shift account to your Borderlands game account (Steam, Xbox, or PSN), if this hasn't been done already.</p>

<p class="article__paragraph">You can then access the VIP tab at the top of the page. Follow the instructions to accumulate the maximum number of VIP points. For instance, you can:</p>

<p class="article__paragraph">You can now spend your hard-earned points to claim rewards. These can be linked to all Borderlands content (except for the game *Tales from the Borderlands*). Options include character skins, Golden Keys, wallpapers, and even unique weapons. Feel free to explore the website; it’s user-friendly.</p>

<p class="article__paragraph">We recommend collecting as many VIP points as possible and waiting before redeeming them. The goal is to obtain as much content that interests you in Borderlands 3. For instance, we plan to gather everything related to Zane before the game’s release to look stylish while playing as him. After all, that’s a must, isn’t it?</p>
<h2 class="article__subtitle">Diamond Codes</h2>
<p class="article__paragraph">These highly coveted codes are extremely rare and will only appear during in-game events. As of now, no Diamond Codes have been detected, and it may take a few days or even weeks before they make an appearance. For quality loot, you will have to settle for the list of Shift Codes that lead to the earlier mentioned Golden Key.</p>
<h2 class="article__subtitle">Legendary Weapons for Borderlands 3</h2>
<p class="article__paragraph">Attention to all collectors and players who don’t want to miss out on anything in the game! Through this rewards system, you can obtain a legendary Maliwan weapon in Borderlands 3.</p>
<p class="article__paragraph">To do this, as shown in the screenshot and on the site, you must have acquired 8 weapons through the VIP Shift rewards system. Hence, you can either buy weapons for the Borderlands games with your VIP points or spin the "Pistolizer" wheel to earn a weapon (which will count toward the 8 weapon milestone). The wheel can be spun once. There are three wheels, one for season 1, another for season 2, and a final one for season 3. You can thus progress on collecting a minimum of 3 weapons. You’ll quickly reach the 8 weapon threshold. You can employ both methods, purchasing weapons with points and spinning the wheel. That way, you’re guaranteed to unlock the legendary weapon by the time Borderlands 3 releases.</p>
