Our guide on how to build the Sturdy Bull Shield in IX, one of the zombie maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Find all the part locations and workbench within the map.
In Black Ops 4’s Zombie mode, players can craft shields, and one of the most formidable options is the Sturdy Bull Shield. This shield offers protection and allows for melee attacks with a dagger as well as firing energy ammunition.
To create one, players must first collect the three parts needed for its assembly, which are scattered across various temples in the map.
The parts for the shield can spawn in different locations, and this guide includes images of potential spots for each piece. There’s no specific order required to collect them.
Sun God’s Tower
The Sun God’s Tower is located directly to the right of the path you take to access the arena. The shield piece here may be found on three different sections of the altar’s walls, specifically in the highest room of the tower.
Odin’s Tower
You can access Odin’s Tower from Anubis’ Tower by navigating through the underground area of the arena. The shield piece here can appear in four different spots: next to two wooden pillars along the cauldron walls, in a chest adorned with shields at the entrance, or beside the altar’s barrel.
Zeus’ Tower
Zeus’ Tower can be accessed from Odin’s Tower by crossing the dock between the upper level (altar) of the two buildings. In this tower, three different locations may hide the shield piece: at the base of one of the altar’s statues, in the hand of one of the entryway statues, and on the ledge of the wall decor in the baths.
Assembly
After collecting all three materials, head to the pit in the basement to craft the shield. You’ll find the workbench located in one of the corners of the room.
Hold the square button to begin construction, and once completed, you’ll be all set to slay the undead with your sturdy Bull Shield.
