Create a Preset

Use this simple form to create a new preset for your device and install it via the File -> Install device preset menu item in Arista Transcoder.

Some values have been pre-filled for you with safe defaults, but if you know that your device limits these values you should change them. For example, you could limit your iPhone's video dimensions to be a maximum of 640 wide and 480 tall.

Note that this is a simplified interface to Arista Transcoder's device preset system. For more complex changes you'll need to open the preset's JSON file in a text editor.

When finished, click create to download the preset file.


A short, one-word, unique identifier

The manufacturer of this device, e.g. 'Apple'

The model of this device, e.g. 'iPhone'

A short description, e.g. 'H.264/AAC in MP4 for iPhones

An SVG or PNG file

Visual quality where bitrate is automatically determined

The video bitrate in kbps

Range of allowed widths, like 'min, max'

Range of allowed heights, like 'min, max'

Range of allowed framerates, like 'min, max'

The audio bitrate in kbps

Range of allowed channels, like 'min, max'
